Our pure JavaScript Scheduler component

Post by odiyaerlichster »

Hi,
We are looking into adding print to PDF functionalities to our app.
I am playing around with the print feature https://bryntum.com/products/schedulerpro/docs/api/Scheduler/feature/export/Print to see how it works and if it meets our needs using of your react demos https://bryntum.com/products/schedulerpro/examples/
I added the following code to the config:

{
<SchedulerPro
...config
printFeature={true}
/>

and the export fails when I call

    schedulerRef.current.instance.features.print.showPrintDialog();

It seems that this only occur when the eventRenderer function returns JSX.

Can someone please look into this? This is crucial for us in adopting the print functionality.
Thanks!

Hey odiyaerlichster,

Thanks for reaching out.

I tried to reproduce that on our inline data demo, but it printed without any errors. Could you please try to reproduce that error in our demo?

Also, do you have any error messages being displayed in the console?

Best regards,
Márcio

Hi,
I am using your big data set example with react + vite to reproduce this -https://bryntum.com/products/schedulerpro/examples-scheduler/frameworks/react-vite/bigdataset/dist/.
I have attached the example I used as a zip file.

bigdatasetwithpringt.zip
(3.86 MiB) Downloaded 3 times

I have tried it once with the eventRenderer that returns custom JSX and it fails,

with eventRenderer and JSX.mov
(4.24 MiB) Downloaded 2 times

and without the eventRenderer that returns JSX and it succeeds.

without eventRenderer and JSX.mov
(6.98 MiB) Downloaded 2 times

There are no errors in the console.

I'd greatly appreciate if you could look into this.
Thanks!

Hi Odiya,

Thanks for the report, I was able to reproduce this issue and have created a ticket to fix this. https://github.com/bryntum/support/issues/9517. Please subscribe to it to keep track of updates.

Thanks!
Do you have an ETA for when this will be fixed?
This is blocking us from using the print feature.
Thanks!

Can't say until we have dug a bit deeper I'm afraid.

Any updates here?
Thanks!

No updates, it's only been 3 working days since you reported this. We'll get to it soon.

We're planning on releasing an important feature for our product which depends on the PDF functionalities.
It would be great if you could give me an estimated date when you'll have a better idea when this will be fixed so we can plan accordingly.
Thanks!

Unless this turns out to be a complex issue, most likely we'll get this released in August.
