Hi team,

Can I ask you please if you could add or think about feature parity between Bryntum and ExtJs ?

For example while migrating I noticed that Bryntum Field does not have isDirty and resetOriginalValue like methods.

Also we implemented ViewControllers and ViewModels with one way binding based on Signals and it works really great.

Then it is the inline row editor which we asked already and hopefully you will be adding it in 7.x as you mentioned.

Plus a Router would be really great too...

While these and many other things that we may encounter to need during ExtJs migrations, are easy to implement, would be really great to have them out of the box. You could potentially gain more market from legacy apps based on Sencha if you could provide capabilities of a full framework like ExtJs, you are so close to achieve this as not much has left.

Client Side heavy SPAs based on pure Javascript (and not VDOM based, on React and/or other frameworks) are still alive, and will be still for many years to come.

Vadim.

Hey Vadim,

We never aimed to have feature parity with Ext JS. Our aim is for our new pure JS version to equal or better in terms of capabilities. At this time there are no immediate plans to add routing, ViewController and other Ext JS concepts. Might be something we can consider for 8.0.

The feature parity overview for our widgets can be found here. https://bryntum.com/products/scheduler/compare/
