Hi pascdese,

It's not possible to add a new column to the Gantt, currently.

If you want to display (Settings - General Settings - Manage Users -) Users in the Gantt, go to Project - Configuration - Settings - Gantt View Pro, select User Assignment, and save.

Users will now be available to select on tasks as well as in the Assigned Resources column.

Hello,

I apologize for the misunderstanding. What I would like to know is whether it is currently possible to display the user or employee assigned to a task in a column, or if this functionality is not available at the moment.

The person responsible for this request would like to have better visibility on task assignment to facilitate their work.

Thank's

Hi Pascdese,

No worries.

Ah, so what you're asking is if there is a filter option so an employee can see what is assigned to them, correct?

If yes, I can refer you to this forum post: viewtopic.php?t=32922.

For example, it would be desirable to add a column dedicated to the user, in order to visualize the person currently assigned to the ongoing task. You can refer to the screenshot.

that would allow viewing the users currently assigned to the task

What comes to mind is the Assigned Resources column. There, you can filter on a name once resources (user/employees) are applied there or in the 'Resources' tab on tasks.

I attached a clip of this. Let me know if that offers a solution for the person requesting it.

Hello, indeed, I hadn't noticed that it was possible to click on a resource to assign it. However, is it necessary to assign the resource in addition to the task? If I assign a user to the resource, are they automatically added to the task?

You can add them either in the Assigned Resources column, or on the task. The one will reflect the other, so you only need to add them once. I've attached a clip for clarity as well.
