Our blazing fast Grid component built with pure JavaScript

Post by gokulnaths »

Hello Team,

We are seeking your support in identifying the root cause and resolution for a critical issue we encountered with the Bryntum calendar component.

Issue Summary:

  • One of our users attempted to update the planned start date of an existing task via the Bryntum Gantt grid.
  • Upon triggering the date picker, the calendar component appeared in a corrupted state. It displayed abnormally with repeated month labels (JuneJuneJune...) and multiple overlapping weeks.
  • After the user selected a date from this corrupted calendar, the entire Gantt data view was lost, resulting in significant disruption.

Key Observations:

  • Only the calendar UI was visibly broken initially, but interacting with it led to a complete data corruption in the Gantt chart.
  • The issue seems to be triggered during date update operations on existing tasks.

We would appreciate your guidance on:

  1. The possible causes for this calendar rendering issue.
  2. How this could impact the Gantt data state.
  3. Any recommended patches or best practices to avoid such occurrences.

Please let us know if any additional logs or configurations are needed from our end.
Looking forward to your support on this urgent issue.

Please find the attached screenshots that we have received from the clarity.

Hi,

We definitely need more context, console logs and runnable demo with steps to reproduce that. We didn't see such problem before and it's not really possible to predict the impact or reasons without debugging.
Any chance to share an app?

All the best,
Alex Lazarev
