Hi,
If you're referring to the possiblity to save a custom layout of the columns, this is something we're working on. A fix was there, but we've since removed vue.js from the Gantt, which now needs to be done to this fix as well for us to release it. I'll keep you posted when this has been released.
As for Employees and Users field, in project - configuration - settings - gantt view pro we have the setting replace user_ids bt employee_ids in views, which will use the users instead of employees. I've attached screenshot of it.

Good, the option to save columns will be released sometime in Q1. I will let you know once it's been released.
I checked out res.users and the 'replace user_ids by employee_ids in views' setting, and found that it's currently not working as it should and doesn't display res.users. I've created a task to fix this, and will let you know once this fix has been released.
