Issue with rights between 18<>19

Hello,

We purchased your module for use on our Odoo 18 database, and it has been working as expected. We are currently preparing to migrate our system to Odoo 19, and in anticipation of this upgrade we have also purchased the version of your module compatible with Odoo 19.

After installing it in our Odoo 19 environment, we encountered a couple of issues that we would like to better understand.

First, some projects appear to be inaccessible due to what seems to be a permissions-related problem. At this stage, we would prefer not to broaden access rights for the Employee module, and especially not grant users access to the Settings menu.

Secondly, once we are able to access projects, the Gantt view cannot be displayed. Attempting to open it consistently results in an error.

Could you please advise whether there is a configuration step we may have missed, or if there is a recommended way to resolve these issues while keeping our current access control structure?

Hi sam-erx,

Thank you for sending this in. The color error has been brought to our attention, and a fix was released for it in Version 19.0.1.0.4. We released another update shortly after for an unrelated error on Version 19.0.1.0.5. Please update to the latest and the color error should not be present anymore.

The employee module is where Gantt View Pro gets the employees from that you can select as the resources in the Gantt, as well as the calendars that you can set both globally and within the Gantt. It's a core functionality, so without granting it access, the access error will remain.
