[INFO REQ] TaskResize feature to snap to a particular point

Is there a provision or API to say that the resizing of a task should happen in a particular step of say 1 day instead of free flowing drag and resize?

snap doesn't seem to work in certain zoom levels. Like for instance, I set snap: true, but on zoom level 10, there is still ability to drag per hour. Is there soemthing that I'm missing?
