We purchased Gantt View Pro for Odoo v 15.0 https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/15.0/bryntum_gantt/

There are some bugs in the functionality:

  1. When we set the START dates and then refresh the page, it automatically resets those dates to Jan 2, 2023 – it’s a project start date
  2. When we set ASSIGNED RESOURCES from the Gantt View, it does not synchronizes with tasks and Assigned resources of the task from the project view still empty

Hi! The project start date is not saved, it is only for view purposes. You can edit the project start date at Project settings

For the second issue, we only store assignments internally for the Gantt Pro view. That is because we have no dependency on the Employee module. That means it does not synchronise with the native Project/Task assignments.

Hi Terence, there is a bug regarding START DATE because when we set it on the Gantt Chart, and then refresh the page, it's lost. Please see the video https://g-evex.tinytake.com/msc/NzgzNzEyN18yMDkwNTExOQ

One more issue. When we edit settings on the Gantt View (for example row height) and then refresh the page, it comes back to default settings

I can not reproduce the first issue, but in the video I see something strange. Can you reproduce it on our demo site?
And do you use the latest version?

Row Height and other UI settings are not saved in the backend. I have created a ticket for this.

Terence, Hi again.
Thank you for your responses.
So, here are several comments regarding mentioned and new issues:

  1. About refresh problem: okay, let's hold this issue on and. I will try to reproduce it on your demo later and come back
  2. About saving User Settings: What are the due dates for this issue? We need it ASAP as we are starting to implement Odoo in our company.
  3. New Issue 1: When I add a Deadline column to a Gantt Chart and write a deadline for specific task, it's not synchronized with Deadline field of the task. And also, after refreshing Gantt Chart, written deadline disappears. When I have Deadline added from the task and then add Deadline column in the Gantt Chart, it's empty.
  4. Is there any possibility to export chart from the Gantt View to the Excel file or PDF file?

Hi, could you start a new topic for each question on the Forum, else we loose oversight?

Regarding your questions. Currently the deadline field and settings properties are not saved. For the settings there is already a ticket for one of the upcoming releases.

I can give no due dates on FR's. We only do that in case the tickets are sponsored.

About export possibilities. Excel is possible, then I need to enable the feature and create an export button in the header.
PDF would be possible when you run a standalone print server handling the html/pdf fragments. This is not something we are going to add to Odoo (soon).

If you need help on implementing those features within your time schedule you could ask sales@bryntum.com for a specific quote and ETA based on your requirements.

Hi Terence
What will be the estimation for sponsoring ticket https://github.com/bryntum/odoo-support/issues/97
To be more accurate, we want to save not only UI settings, also such setting as hide/show columns, column orders, column sizes, also such settings as "show baselines", "show rollups" and etc.
So what would be the price for sponsoring this ticket?

Depends, do you want it to get saved per user or saved as global settings?

Post by gabs »

Our priority is save per user but if it will request too much resources, we will consider global settings. Can you give us both assessments?
