In your advanced example you have the plan name as the first task then all the subtasks under that. In the predecessor field, that summary task shows. Is there a way to filter that out of the predecessor field?

What do you mean by filtering out the predecessor field? Could you provide more context or what do you want to achieve with that?
Go to your advanced demo. Go to predecessor column and find Launch SaaS Product. That is not a task that can be used because it is the parent of all the other tasks. Therefore Launch SaaS Product should not be available in the predecessors list. I want to remove that as an option for people to pick.
