Hello,

While adding the lag how the days are calculated? Is it all days or only working days?

Post by Terence »

Working days if the task is not manually scheduled, it will use the working days defined in the calendar set.

Hello

We have purchased the Odoo Bryntum Gantt chart pro and I have a few questions regarding the Gantt chart.

  1. How to control/change Calendars in Bryntum Gantt Pro?

  2. How to assign a calendar object to an overall project?

  3. The lag is calendar specific?

  4. If the lag is on the calendar or working days how can you assign it to regular calendar days? (Because we have schedule requirements that are lagged by regular days instead of working)

  5. How does the critical path setting work?

  6. Is there an import of the Microsoft project?

Thank you for your interest!

How to control/change Calendars in Bryntum Gantt Pro?

Currently we have have a default calendar which can be modified in the global project settings.
https://bryntum.com/products/gantt/docs/guide/Gantt/basics/calendars

In the upcoming release we will provide the Odoo calendars to set if they are available.

How to assign a calendar object to an overall project?

Supported in the upcoming release. It is now set to a 'general' calendar which can be modified as described above.

The lag is calendar specific?

We have lag set on dependencies. See our guide above how to use intervals. In the upcoming release you can also use leave intervals defined in Odoo.

If the lag is on the calendar or working days how can you assign it to regular calendar days? (Because we have schedule requirements that are lagged by regular days instead of working)

Intervals are set on Calendars and calendars can be set on projects/ tasks and resources. But not sure if this relates to your definition of Lag. Lags can be set on dependencies.

How does the critical path setting work?

It is an optical feature showing the longest stretch of dependent tasks required to complete the project.
https://bryntum.com/products/gantt/docs/api/Gantt/feature/CriticalPaths

Is there an import of the Microsoft project?

We only support export to MSP at the moment.

BTW: Could you please create a new forum thread for each topic next time?
