Context:
I'm a junior developer and I was assigned to a project that uses bryntum gantt. I have little experience in the business but I already understand some things. Before I was allocated to this project, several other developers modified the code. So there are several bugs and I need to resolve one in specific.

Version: Bryntum Gantt 2.1.4

The Problem:
When associating a resource, I can define the percentage value of that resource. However, when typing the value and leaving input, the box should be automatically marked and the value in the unit column("ALOCAÇÃO%") should add a '%' to the end. But this isn't happening.

From what I researched, this behavior should happen by default. Is it possible that a bug made by an old developer broke this functionality? Where to start looking for the bug?

I'd try to migrate to our latest version 6.0.4 and most likely the bug will not exist anymore. Is this an option?

Unfortunately not for now Mats. I'm more trying to understand what could have caused this. Or if anyone has gone through something similar.

Might just be a bug in the (very) old version you're using. Any reason why upgrading isn't an option?

The company works with corrective and evolutionary work orders. We are currently on a corrective work order. The customer would have to open an evolutionary service order and this can take a long time due to bureaucracy.
Updating the version is definitely in the plans. But I need to deliver this task in 2/3 days.
Do you have any gantt version upgrade guide? If it's simple, I can test if it solves my problem
