Hi team,

we are now intensely working with Bryntum Gantt View Pro.
We've run into the following issue.
When switching between projects the project start date does not update.

Most users don't switch project on the Bryntum Gantt View Pro project selection but go via the project menu of Odoo.

Here is how we are now working frequently:

Gantt open in project 1
   -> go to Odoo project menu
      -> switch to  project 2
         -> open Gantt from within the new project
            -> project uses start date from the previous project
               -> all dependencies go missing
                  -> set the correct start date for the project manually
                     -> dependencies and structure update and show correctly

Correcting this issue would be very much appreciated.

Best
caalb

Hi caalb,

Thank you for reporting this error.

I believe I have stumbled across this recently: Do you have the Auto schedule option selected in the global settings for Gantt View Pro?

Hi Niels,

yes we do.

Alright, then yes, I've come across this and have created a task to fix it.

I'll add your findings to the task as well, so we can update you once it's fixed.

Hey team,

I wanted to check in if you could confirm and fix the issue. Still getting it in 17.0.2.1.26. :(

Hi Felix,

I can confirm this is still there. We had a fix, but upon rechecking, it wasn't working anymore. We're going to fix it.

Cheers,

Niels

Hey nivl,

we installed v27 the issue is still here. Once a project was opened the next projects copy that start date.
I couldn't figure out where the value is stored.

Could you please look into it. It becomes critical for us.

Hi caalb,

We're currently working on an overhaul for the Gantt which will indirectly influence this bug and fix it. I'll provide an update when this becomes available.
