Our state of the art Gantt chart

Post by ppelliccia »

Hello Bryntum Gantt support,
is there any way to totally disable any bryntum gantt 6.3.3. automatism that is recalculation duration, start date, finish date in order to have the task aligned with salesforce backend logic?
we have already set manuallyScheduled = true for all tasks but we still notice misalignements.
Could you guide us to properly set the gantt library in order to match provided requitement?
Thanks
Pasquale

Hi there,

To disable calculations, you can use https://bryntum.com/products/gantt/docs/api/Gantt/model/ProjectModel#function-setCalculations with some dummy data.

Example:

// Disable calculations and load data
await project.setCalculations({
    // Disable the project endDate automatic calculation
    project : {
        endDate : 'userProvidedValue'
    },
    // Disable task percentDone, startDate, endDate and duration fields automatic calculation
    tasks : {
        percentDone : 'userProvidedValue',
        startDate   : 'userProvidedValue',
        endDate     : 'userProvidedValue',
        duration    : 'userProvidedValue'
    }
});

You can see the implementation of that here in our online demo https://bryntum.com/products/gantt/examples/static/

I hope it helps!

Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Best regards,
Tasnim

Hello tasnim, thanks, alternatively we have used a different field instead of standard bryntum endDate and startDate etc I suppose it is equivalent. Could you confirm that it is sufficient to set like the example and all the calculation will be bypassed?

The code I shared in my earlier post, which is the same in this demo https://bryntum.com/products/gantt/examples/static/
This disables the task percentDone, startDate, endDate, duration, and the project's endDate fields' automatic calculation, which only shows the userProvided values!

Best regards,
Tasnim
