Our state of the art Gantt chart

Post by baseev »

Hi Team,

change, the start date of the top-level WBS is not resetting to the previous value. It just flashes and changes to some random value.

Scenario:

  1. Attach a calendar to the task named "Task 2 - 6*24 Calendar". The root-level task end date changes to June 13, 2025.
  2. Change the project start date to June 17, 2025. The root-level task end date changes.
  3. Click Undo. The root-level task end date flashes and does not reset to June 13, 2025.

Please check the attached video for reference.

Note:
This issue is not happening in 6.1.8, but it is reproducible in 7.2.2 and the latest version, 7.3.0.
It happens only in the realtime example. I checked with the calendar example, and it is not happening there.
Example: realtime-updates
Attached: app.js and data.json.

Thanks,
Baseev

Hi Maxim,

The override which you provided in the git ticket - https://github.com/bryntum/support/issues/13141#issuecomment-4451579079 is not working.

Scenario:

  1. Indent one of the task
  2. Click on 'Undo'
  3. 'Undo' throws as error, nothing works after that.

Attached the video with scenario and console log..

Note:
This issue is in 7.2.2 and the latest version, 7.3.0.

Thanks,
Baseev

Hi Maxim,

I think the issue still exists.

Parent task details – WBS 1.1

Initial:
Start Date: May 20, 2025
End Date: Aug 08, 2025

After indent:
Start Date: Jun 05, 2025
End Date: Jun 13, 2025

After undo:
Start Date: May 20, 2025
End Date: Jun 13, 2025

It is supposed to revert back to:
Start Date: May 20, 2025
End Date: Aug 08, 2025

Attached video: 7.2.3.mp4

I also tried this in version 7.3.0 and found a different issue, listed below:

The redo button never gets enabled.
Undo changes the data, but the button state is not in sync.

Attached video: 7.3.0.mp4

Thanks,
Baseev

Hi Team,

This issue is not completely fixed in the new version - 7.3.1

I have attached a video showing an issue where, after performing an Indent operation and then reverting the change using Undo, the date values are not restored to their previous values.

Hello,

Yes this is a separate issue unrelated to the issue mentioned above. Its already in progress so should be fixed by next release. You can track it here: https://github.com/bryntum/support/issues/13261
